Ana Botafogo

Ana Botafogo is the First Dancer of the Teatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro, having already been shown in Europe, North America, Central America and South America. She was born and established in Rio de Janeiro, where he began his studies of ballet. His professional career started up in France, with the Ballet de Marseille, Roland Petit. In Europe, she attended the Academy Goubbée in Paris (France), the International Academy of Dance Rosella Hightower in Cannes (France), and Dance Center (Covent Garden) in London (England).
She participated in festivals in Lausanne, Venice, Havana, to the show in tribute to France's Legion of Honour, in the Palace of Versailles, and the Gala Iberoamericana de la Danza, directed by Alícia Alonso, held in Madrid to celebrate the 500 years of discovery of Americas.


Choosing to continue his career in Brazil, she was the Principal Dancer of the Theatre Guaira, the Association of Ballet of Rio de Janeiro and, in 1981, she joined as Principal Dancer of the Municipal Theatre in Rio de Janeiro.
In 1995, as "étoile" guest of the Opera Company of Lodz (Poland, she played the leading role of female Ballet Zorba the Greek, dancing in several cities in Brazil. He received, from the Government of the United States of North America, through the Fulbright Commission and the Government of England, scholarships for further development of dance. The Minister of Culture of France named her in 1997, "Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres", and in 1999, the Ministry of Culture of Brazil awarded her the Trophy Mambembe/1998, for re
cognition to all of her job and dissemination of dance throughout the national territory.





Cachorro Grande

Formed in mid-99, the Cachorro Grande is the formation of a classic banda de rock: Bob Bruno (voice), Marcelo Gross (guitar), Jerome Bocudo (bass), Gabriel Azambuja (drums) and Pedro Pelotas (piano).
At the beginning of the tour of the third disc, " Pista Livre ", more precisely in May 2005, the original bassist, Jerome Bocudo, was replaced by Rodolfo Krieger, who has done throughout the disclosure, and shows clips of the CD. The first CD, homonym, in 2002, showed that there was an emerging band entering the Brazilian rock history.

After being waived by a record without having released an album by it, the band looked for people who believe in rock and ended up striking the Lobão, which is enchanted with a live performance of band. In the winter of 2004, Lobão launched the second cd of Cachorro Grande, " As Próximas Horas Serão Muito Boas ", for his magazine, "Outracoisa", with distribution in bunkers around the country. This disc resulted two clips that had excellent rotation on MTV and other TV programs in Brazilian: "Hey Amigo" and " Que Loucura."
Since then, it happened several concerts by country, with overwhelming performances and a memorable appearance in the Programa do Jô, where the band participated in no less than three blocks of the program! So much efforts in the independent world awakened the interest of Deckdisc, engraver in the emerging national scene that just hiring the band.
In less than a year after the launch of the second CD, was already in stores the long-awaited " Pista Livre ", the third CD of the band, produced by Rafael Ramos and mastered at the legendary Abbey Road studio in London -the favorite of the Beatles - for the legendary Chris Blair, who is in the curriculum masterizações made for bands like Oasis, Supergrass, Radiohead, among other wolves of the international scene.
The band began the tour of the CD " Pista Livre " in May 2005 and closed in December 2006, totaling 152 concerts performed around the country, including major festivals, such as: Of course it is Rock (SP and RJ), MADA (NR ), Ceara Music (EC), If Rasgum (PA), Abril Pro Rock (EP), Planet Atlantis (RS), Music Go (GO), Pop Rock (MG), and many others. Parallel to this work, the band participated in the "Acoustic MTV Gaúchas bands," the MTV project that was to air in May 2005. Two years later, in May 2007, the band released their fourth CD, "All Times", and music to work “Você Me Faz Continuar” is already successful in radios throughout the country. In June, Cachorro Grande participated in the Special MTV Studio Coca-Cola, along with Nando Reis. A meeting unforgettable. And do not stop there.
To say the great stage, in July, Cachorro Grande was elected the band of the month of MTV! With privileged spaces in the programming of the channel throughout the month, the band also participated in the "Special Artist of the Month", with 2 hours and 30 minutes live in the MTV program. Iberê Camargo

Artist of accuracy and sensitivity unique, Iberê Camargo is one of the great names of the art of the twentieth century. Author of an extensive work, which includes paintings, drawings, gouaches and engravings, Iberê was born in Restinga Seca, the field side of Rio Grande do Sul, in November 1914, having spent much of his life in Rio de Janeiro.
Recognized by its spools, cyclists and idiots, the artist had never joined the current or movements. Since the youth, he proved to be attracted by independent persons, as Guignard and Goeldi. In Europe, he studied with masters such as Giorgio De Chirico, Carlos Alberto Petrucci, Anthony and Andrew Achille Lothe.
Throughout his life, Iberê Camargo always had strong leadership in the artistic and intellectual. He had his work reverenced in exhibitions of international renown, such as the Biennale in Sao Paulo, the Biennale in Venice, the Biennale in Tokyo and the Biennale in Madrid, and has numerous exhibitions in Brazil and in countries such as France, England, United States, Scotland, Spain and Italy.
The painter died when he was 79 years old, in Porto Alegre, in August 1994, leaving a collection of more than seven thousand works. Much of it was left to his wife, Mrs. Coussirat Maria Camargo, and integrates today the achievements of Iberê Camargo Foundation.

Moacyr Scliar


Moacyr Scliar was born on March 23, 1937, in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul.In 1943, he started studying at School of Education and Culture, or Ídiche School, where his mother had taught. In 1948, he moved to Rosário School, a Catholic high school.
In 1955, he entered at Federal College of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in the course of medicine where he was graduated.
He worked as doctor with the Service of Domiciliary Medical Assistance and Urgency (SAMDU).His first book published was “Histórias de médicos em formação”, in 1962, after this one he never stopped writing.
He is the writer of more than 30 jobs among novel, assays, stories and articles. His books have been translated in many languages such as German, French, Spanish, English, Italian, Hebraic and Swedish.
In 1989, Moacyr Scliar got, in Cuba, the international prize of “Casa de Las Américas” for the book “A Orelha da Van Gogh”.He writes for Folha de S.Paulo since the seventies and assigns an upright section in the section “Cotidiano” nowadays.
Moacyr Scliar is, nowadays, one of the most representative writers of the Brazilian contemporary literature. The main themes of his job are the social reality of the urban middle class in Brazil and the Judaism. The middle class description is, frequently, created by an angle over the reality.
Among his most important jobs are: "A História de um Médico em Formação" (1962); "A Guerra do Bom Fim" (1972); "O Exército de um Homem Só" (1973); "Mês de Cães Danados" (1977); "O Centauro no Jardim" (1980); "A Orelha de Van Gogh" (1988); "Olho Enigmático" (1988) e "A Mulher que Escreveu a Bíblia" (1999).
